New England’s haunted trails

New England is chock full of legends, Looking for a good place to start? you can check out this list of 10 haunted New England trails, in it I show you some well worn trails and little known adventures to go on.

New Hampshire

In my post about the Lost River Gorge, I dive into my family tradition of spending long weekends in New Hampshire in the Franconia notch region. As a kid my father would take us and as a father I now like to show my son the same places I explored as a child. I’ve also hiked Mt Manadnock, giving my own review and experience of the trails and the local taphouse nearby.

Connecticut

If you’re in Connecticut like I am currently and looking for good trails or a place to wet your whistle you can check out Devils Hopyard State Park, and then head over to Norwich for some of their local breweries or public houses. The city has some hidden gems to explore as well as the casino. Or head to the coast and explore the largest track of undeveloped land on the CT coast in Groton. And while you’re on the CT coast take a walk through Harkness and Seaside Park. Both worth the trip and not to far apart to see both in a day. If you happen to be a Veteran check out Irreverent Warriors and the event they hold every year in Norwich.

Rhode Island

When you visit little Rhody check out places like Trustom Pond in Wakefield, and Carter preserve in Charlestown, both in Washington County. Afterwards you can get a good drink at the Mews or the Rathskellar and reminisce about the exciting day you’ve had.
