Here’s a little video montage of Oconeechee Mtn. from a few years ago.
Nostalgia Central
Seeing old video of my little man exploring nature will never be dull to me. What a cutie. Oconeechee was such a great trail, I couldn’t help but make a montage of it.
North Carolina
I spent ten years in North Carolina before returning to New England, and specifically Rhode Island. I grew up in Massachusetts, spent several years in Rhode Island, and for the time being reside in Connecticut. Except that coastal Carolina doesn’t quite have the same four seasons that New England does, it’s a perfect environment. The beaches are just as beautiful, the mountains get snow and are just a bit taller, the major cities have the same vibe but a better layout. Parts of Raleigh remind me of Providence, Charlotte is just a well thought out city, and Pinehurst is described as a quaint New England town. In my mind, Pinehurst is a warmer version of Osterville. White Pines Nature Preserve in Sanford NC has the same smell as any woodland on Cape Cod.
